When you bring a pet into battle, it equips directly to your hero, remaining entirely safe from enemy attacks—meaning it never takes damage and cannot die.

During combat, your companion performs a standard bite against your target every single round, contributing steady damage while accumulating 1 charge per strike. Once your pet reaches 3 charges, it unleashes a powerful active ability tied to its specific family tree, or pounces for double damage.
